Ingredients you'll need...

4 hot cross buns
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Butter for frying
Maple syrup and fresh berries to serve

How to make Hot Cross Buns French Toast...

  1. Slice the hot cross buns in half.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Dip each bun half into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated.
  4. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add a knob of butter.
  5. Once the butter has melted, add the soaked buns, cut side down and cook for 2-3 minutes each side until golden brown.
